AS9100D is a global quality management standard designed for the aerospace industry. It is based on ISO 9001:2015 but adds extra requirements specific to Aerospace industry. The standard was developed by SAE International and the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG). AS9100 is recognized by the U.S. Government and Department of Defense as a standard to qualify a company as a reliable manufacturer.
